This week is busy with final preparations .... including hiking with a full backpack.... looks kind of funny on Balboa Island.… wrapping up business and buying the last essentials to cram into the backpack. Working on getting the weight down in the backpack... Biggest issue is water weight from the water reserve built into back pack. I am shooting for 15 pounds or less.

Getting Ready to Hit the Trail
8 Days to Blast Off ! I will be flying from LAX to Paris on 9/20/15 and meeting my Co-Grannie aka Oma / Mariah who is flying in from Michigan . We are renting a car and Mariah is driving us to Biarritz and then we shuttle to St Jean Pied de Port for the official start of The Camino De Santiago.
